About

Rachel Klippel is available for hire in musical theatre and theatre as well as for commercial work. For teaching information, please visit the 'Students' section.
Originally from Bolingbrook, IL, Rachel's love for the stage began at an early age being a tap dancing sailor in a local dance recital. She grew up singing in church, performing musicals both at church and in school and developing her dance skills. Her real passion for her craft began in high school, performing at every opportunity given. When the time came to decide on college, Rachel briefly entertained the idea of studying to become an architect, but that idea quickly became overshadowed by her passion for music education. After being accepted to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for music education, Rachel eventually added opera performance and earned degrees in both Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education.
From there, Rachel returned to the Chicagoland area to pursue a career in musical theatre and opera. Since 2009, Rachel has worked regionally with Peninsula Players in Door County, WI and in the Chicagoland area with TimeLine Theatre, Court Theatre, Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook, The Music Theatre Company, Emerald City Theatre Company at Broadway in Chicago and more throughout Chicago. While continuing her own professional education through voice, acting and dance training, Rachel also teaches private voice/piano/flute lessons, enjoys traveling, being a foodie, seeing shows, running, swimming and college football.
